The capsule is made with microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, magnesium stearate.
What does “100:1” mean on the AlphaSteel tongkat ali line?
The tongkat ali is 10 mg of a 100:1 extract, which the label equates to about 1,000 mg of dry root powder. The ratio describes how much dried root went into the extract. A longer piece on extract ratios works through it.
How do the AlphaSteel amounts compare with the research?

Does AlphaSteel contain caffeine?
No. There is no caffeine or other stimulant anywhere on the panel. The energy the label talks about does not come from a stimulant.

Is the nettle in AlphaSteel the kind used in prostate studies?
The panel prints nettle leaf extract. Most prostate research on nettle is on the root (Chrubasik 2007), so the two are different parts of the plant.
What does “boron amino acid chelate 20 mg” mean?
It is the weight of the chelate, boron bound to an amino acid, rather than of the boron inside it. Research and the adult upper intake level of 20 mg a day are stated as elemental boron (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements).

Can I take AlphaSteel with medication?
Horny goat weed’s icariin inhibits the PDE5 enzyme in laboratory work, the same enzyme erectile-dysfunction prescriptions act on, and a published case report links horny goat weed to a fast heart rhythm. Anyone taking a PDE5 medicine, a nitrate, a blood-pressure medicine or a heart-rhythm medicine should raise this label with the prescriber before the first capsule.
Who should not take AlphaSteel?
